Preston Gordon is entering his fourth season working with the Goochland Football radio broadcast. He has spent the past 3 years as a color commentator and looks to make special appearances this season as he assists with advertisement and sponsorships sales.
A Goochland alumni (‘99) & Emory & Henry graduate (‘05), Gordon will be starting his sixteenth year as a math teacher. He is also approaching his thirteenth year as a head boys basketball coach and ninth at Goochland.
Gordon’s Bulldogs are coming off two record seasons going 22-5 in 17-18 campaign earning District & Regional titles and a trip to the VHSL State Quarterfinals. Last season the Bulldogs composed a school-record 21 game winning streak, won back to back District & Regional titles, and advanced to the State Semifinals.
Gordon hopes to make another run at the state tournament but knows the road will be tough as Goochland moves from 2A to 3A. He was also appointed as Assistant Activities Director last fall.
Preston is married to Bethany Gordon and they have two children: Brielle (5) & Paxton (1). They reside in Maidens, VA.
